Sustainability has always been important for the company, but global developments have brought it to the forefront of our collective consciousness and made it more important than ever. In order to remain credible in the market, interest groups (such as shareholder associations, employees and customers) are increasingly demanding proof of how companies position themselves in terms of sustainability. This encompasses a wide range of topics that must be taken into account by company management. These include, for example, working conditions (including health and safety), human rights, the environment, corruption prevention, fair competition, consumer interests, taxes and transparency.
Sustainability (CSR/ESG) and the Securitas Group Switzerland
The Securitas Group Switzerland and its group companies are aware of their responsibility in the area of sustainability towards the environment, society and their stakeholders. They actively promote sustainability and make a valuable contribution in economic, ecological and social terms. In an industry comparison in the DACH markets, the Securitas Group Switzerland aims to position itself in the upper midfield in terms of sustainability. The group companies fulfil current and future regulatory requirements in their economic areas. A working group consisting of individual contact persons from the group companies is currently analysing the status of selected sustainability topics. In addition, KPIs (key performance indicators) are being collected to enable internal and external benchmarks. In the future, these are to be made available to all interest groups in a clear and standardised sustainability report (starting with the year 2023). The main topics are working conditions, product safety and quality, data protection, cyber security and emissions. The group companies are free to address other sustainability topics in addition to these, be they training and continuing education, new work, human rights, energy consumption, resource management, sustainable investments or sustainability in the supply chains. Depending on their requirements, they can also prove the status of their respective company by obtaining national and international certifications or sustainability labels.
